Alison -- I wanted to thank you for letting me know you were reviewing Dirty here. I really appreciate the time you took to read it and craft such an extensive review.
Dirty probably is not an easy book to read -- it wasn't easy to write, that's for sure. And I don't have the distance to read it without remembering what it was like to live with Elle's voice in my head for those months it took me to get her story on the page.
So, to anyone who reads the book, thanks for the time you spent with Elle and Dan! I appreciate it!

I love erotic novels when the sex scenes involve you more with the characters. I'm pretty sure I'll be buying this one

I was in the bookstore, wanting something to read. I can't tell you why I chose this book, out of nowhere really, except for the fact that the pink on the cover called to me.
I so loved Liz! I loved that she got her act together in a thoughtful and exciting way, but still managed to be her own person. And Marcus was almost too good to be true, but what the heck, he was fun to imagine.
Love the review. Glad to have found this site!

I think this book is the equivalent of candy floss. It's something you can snuggle down with and feel guilty about enjoying.
I've read it and was quite happy with it - LOL - it's only when I read the review that I realised how little substance there is to the story.
However, I certainly don't think there's anything wrong with candy floss - it's something I get a craving for every once in a while. And I'm looking forward to Deke's book as well. I think the thing is not to analyse it, just to go with it and indulge.

LMAO I thought I was alone in my conflicting feelings! This review summed up exactly how I felt - it was total crap, and yet I couldn't stop reading the f'ing thing! And now I'm waiting for Deke's story! I'm so disappointed in myself...

Jill is a fantastic writer and I am always looking for her latest books. I know you said you're not a fan of the paranormal but Gena Showalter does a wonderful job of drawing the reader into a paranormal world of forbidden and unexpected romance. I was unsure of the paramormal at first, but her books made me a believer. They were fun, interesting and a change from the same ol' same ol'.
If you want something a little different you might give it a try.
